When and how do I get rewarded for a referral?

If you participate in Kin’s California resident referral program, you may be eligible to receive a reward once a referred friend becomes a customer. 

When is the reward issued?

Rewards are issued after a referred friend purchases a Kin policy and that policy goes into effect. This means the reward is triggered on the effective date of the friend’s policy, when coverage officially begins.

How much is the reward?

Both the referring customer and the referred friend will receive a $100 reward for each successful referral.

How do I receive my reward?

Rewards are sent via email as a digital gift card through our third-party provider, Tango. You’ll be able to choose from two options:

  • Amazon gift card

  • Visa gift card

Once you receive the email, simply follow the instructions to redeem your reward.

Is there a limit to how much I can earn?

Yes. The referring customer can earn up to $1,900 per year through the referral program. This is equal to 19 successful referrals annually.

Any referrals beyond this limit will not be eligible for additional rewards.
