How do I upload required documents to my portal?

Some policies require additional documentation, such as proof of roof age or wind mitigation reports. You can easily upload these documents through your customer portal.

When documents are required:

Your portal will show if documents are needed. Log in at kin.com.

  • Look for an "Action Required" banner on your policy on the Portal home page
  • Required documents listed in your policy's Documents tab
  • Email notifications about required documents

 

How to upload documents:

Step 1: Navigate to the upload page

  1. Log into your customer portal at kin.com.
  2. On your policy card, click the "Action Required" banner and click Complete now or click on the Documents section
  3. You'll be brought to the Documents tab
  4. Find the required document in the action items section
  5. Click Upload on the document requirement

Step 2: Upload your file

  1. You'll be brought to an upload page
  2. Click Choose File or Browse
  3. Select the document from your computer/device
    1. Supported file types: PDF, JPG, PNG, HEIC, HEIF
    2. Note: video files are not supported!

Step 3: Confirmation

  • You'll see a success banner at the bottom of the page
  • The action item card will disappear

What happens after upload:

  • Our underwriting team will review the document
  • You'll be notified if additional information or action is needed
