What do the different policy statuses mean?

Your policy cards use colors and banners to show your policy status at a glance. Here's what each status means.

Active Statuses:

Bound (Blue card)

  • Your policy is set to start, but hasn't started just yet! Coverage officially begins on the policy effective date.
  • You may view policy information, documents, and update payment information.
Active/In Force (Green card)
  • Your policy is currently active and providing coverage
  • Status shows: "Active"
  • You have full access to all portal features
  • This is what most customers will see day-to-day

Renewing (Yellow banner)

  • Your policy is approaching its renewal date! You will have received renewal documents and can view these in our portal.
  • Review your renewal offer and update payment information if needed

Alert Statuses:

Pending Cancellation (Red card)

  • Your policy is scheduled to be cancelled soon. Check your Policy Details and Document tabs  for specific details and take action to prevent cancellation, if needed.

Pending Expiration (Red card)

  • We have not received payment for your renewal term! You can make a payment on the Payments tab to ensure your policy renews.
  • If no payment is received, your coverage will end on the expiration date.

Pending Non-Renewal (Red card)

  • Your policy is not renewing and your coverage will end on the policy expiration date.

Inactive Statuses:

Past Policies (Grey card) These appear in the "Past Policies" section and include:

  • Cancelled - Policy was cancelled
  • Expired - The renewal term was not paid and the policy's current term reached its expiration date.
  • Non-Renewed - Policy was not renewed
