What happens if my payment is declined, rejected, or fails?

If your payment isn't processed, you'll need to take action quickly to prevent your policy from being cancelled. 

What happens when a payment is declined/rejected/fails:

  • You'll receive an email notification that your payment failed
  • Your customer portal will have warning text about the failed payment
  • Your policy status may change to Pending Cancellation

 

Take action to prevent cancellation:

  1. Log into your portal at Kin.com
  2. View your pending cancellation notice in the Documents tab to find when your policy will cancel
  3. Make a payment on your Payments tab before that date,
